Peaceful residents lost in special operation in Ingushetia

As reported by Kaloy Akhilgov, press secretary of President of Ingushetia, on February 11-12, as a result of a special operation aimed to liquidate members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) in the vicinity of Arshty and Datykh villages, Sunzha District of Ingushetia, four local residents were lost and two others received wounds.

According to his version, about 70 local residents, who were gathering wild garlic, were removed away from the territory, where the special operation was planned.
"Unfortunately, four from them got under fire and were lost. These victims are not among those 18 militants liquidated during the special operation," the "Echo Moskvy" Radio quotes Mr Akhilgov.

Meanwhile, the newspaper "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" has published an article today running that "special fighters decided not to risk their lives and not to launch fire contact with gangsters; they just guided helicopters on them." The missiles launched from helicopters could not distinguish militants from peaceful residents. As a result, 14 persons were lost, the newspaper writes.
