Politicians and experts of North Ossetia see new opportunities for the region in creation of NCFD

Politicians and activists of public organizations of North Ossetia view new opportunities for economic growth, fighting criminality, development of tourism, businesses and institutes of civil society in this republic in foundation of the new North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and appointment of Alexander Khloponin to be the plenipotentiary of Russian President in this District.

Vitaly Cheldiev, leader of regional branch of the Party "Patriots of Russia", has noted, in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the decision to create the new district is "absolutely reasonable and necessary."

Vadim Baskaev, a public figure of North Ossetia and editor of the newspaper "Fatherland", also believes that the creation of the new district is an evidence of the serious changes underway in the country. In his opinion, the situation in Northern Caucasus, people's living standards in the region and the situation in the economic sphere - these challenges demand particular answers.

The broad powers vested to Alexander Khloponin, now the leader of the NCFD, enable to more efficiently solve target programmes of regional development. This was noted by Vladimir Pisarenko, head of the public association "Slavic Union of Ossetia".
