Chochiev: Georgia gets ready for another aggression

The funds allocated by the USA for building houses for refugees from the Leningorsk District of South Ossetia, have been spent to build a military base. This was stated by Boris Chochiev, plenipotentiary envoy of President of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that back in spring this year the USA wanted to render financial help to Georgia in the sum of 242 million US dollars. It was reported that the sum was a part of the total 1-billion-worth help; the decision was passed by the US top leaders in 2008. It was planned to spend 68.5 million US dollars from this help on improvement of housing conditions of refugees in Georgia.

Mr Chochiev has stated that Georgia is getting ready for another aggression. "One of the proofs to this fact is the construction in the Georgian village of Tserovani on the border with South Ossetia of the so-called "settlement for suffered residents of the Leningorsk District." According to our data, the main part of the allotted US money (1 billion US dollars) had been spent to build 3000 houses in Tserovani, which will be used as a future military base. When we told about it in Geneva, nobody, including the Georgian delegation, could refute our statement," the "Rosbalt" quotes Boris Chochiev as saying.
