CTO regime cancelled in Sunzha District of Ingushetia
Today, the operative staff of the FSB in Ingushetia has made a decision to lift the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, introduced in the morning on October 15 in the territory of the Sunzha District of the republic.
According to the FSB Department for Ingushetia, members of armed underground, involved in especially grave crimes, could hide in the Sunzha District; therefore, the CTO regime was announced.
The "Gazeta.Ru" notes that the operative staff in Ingushetia gives no results of the CTO regime; however, according to law enforcement bodies, on October 16 a group of militants was liquidated
in the Sunzha District.
At present, the investigation has already identified the casualties as brothers Sulambek and Aslanbek Machukaev, Rosa Khiyauri and Nazir Gandarov; the latter was in search for participation in illegal armed formations (IAF). The portal "Yuga.Ru" notes that a grenade, two sub-machine guns, a pistol and plenty of ammunition were found in the place of the fight.
