Business forum: economic development will bring Abkhazia to the world market
The participants of the Abkhazian Business Forum, held on October 9 in Sukhumi, made a conclusion that Abkhazia moves along the road of building an efficient state capable in the long run successfully competing in the world market.
"The number of workplaces grows, the level of salaries goes up and the volume of social payments increases. Being reliably protected from external threats by the military-political agreements with Russia, Abkhazia has a unique opportunity to concentrate its main efforts on peaceful construction - improved system of government, society-power dialogue, intensive economic development and improved living standards of the population," the participants of the forum believe.
Over 150 persons came to take part in the event - politicians, businessmen, experts and journalists, representing Abkhazia, Italy, China, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Germany, Ukraine and South Ossetia. They discussed the issues of increasing the capacity and volumes of extraction in Abkhazia of granite, rubble and inert materials of extraction, which can be used in construction of Olympic objects in Sochi.
