Market in Ingushetia bombarded from grenade launchers
Trade pavilions at the local market of the Ingushetia town of Karabulak were bombarded from grenade launchers by unidentified persons on the night of August 8.
The shooting was made at the "Gifts of Nature" market in the town center. According to the agency information, all in all, four shells were shot from the grenade launcher, reports Lenta.ru.
The unknown persons had disappeared from the place of incident, said MoI representative. According to him, there were no victims as a result of the shooting but a pavilion was seriously damaged, reports "Interfax".
The situation in Ingushetia remains tense. Here, attacks on retail shops and trade outlets are often made. Alcohol is sold in most of such places. Armed attacks are often made on cafes, bathhouses, saunas and game machine halls.
Many in Ingushetia tend to think that such attacks are launched exclusively on religious grounds, since the rules of Islam fully prohibit sale and consumption of alcoholic drinks.
