Militants' Amir killed in Dagestan

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, today at night, in the Karabudakhken District of the republic, the following suspected militants were liquidated: Amir Magomedmurad Osmanov with radio call sign 'Zubair" and a militant Magomed Batyrbekov with call sign "Ibragim". The person of the third casualty is now established.

As reported by the press service of the MIA, at 2:30 a.m. Moscow time, in the course of reconnaissance in a large forest, power agents detected a group of militants. As a result of the skirmish, a soldier died from wounds.

At 3:15 a.m. Moscow time, the scouts opened mortar fire at the place of the combat clash and its adjoining territory, the IA "Northern Caucasus" reports, and at about 5 a.m., at examining the place shelled they found three bodies. According to power agents, all the three casualties were residents of Gubden village.

Meanwhile, according to other sources, in particular, as reported by Channel One, on July 13 power agents learnt that militants had plans to attack a roadside militia post; and special fighters made an ambush in the forest and managed to attack the rebels.
