MIA counts at most 100 militants in Dagestan

At a press conference on July 7, Magomed Ismailov, Deputy Interior Minister, said, referring to operative data, that Dagestan has no more than 100 militants.

According to his story, today, no more than 50 militants act in the Karabudakhkent and Buinaksk Districts of Dagestan, in Makhachkala, there is a group of 10 militants; and the Khasavyurt area has some 20 IAF members.
According to Mr Ismailov, already in 2009, law enforcers have conducted about 10 special operations in the territory of Dagestan aimed to liquidate IAF members, as reported by the RIA "Dagestan".

He has added that Dagestan militants receive financial support from local businessmen - many local entrepreneurs prefer to pay to IAF members; the latter promise not to touch them instead, as the "Lenta.ru" writes.
