The residents of the republic's capital, who rallied near the building of President's administration, welcomed the Russian leader with applause and loud exclamations. Many of them had photo cameras with them and tried to make Medvedev's photos at least from afar. As reported by the "Interfax", there were many children in the square, specially brought there by their parents to see Dmitri Medvedev.

After a talk with Mr Kokoity, Russian leader spoke to townspeople and asked them about their problems and troubles. People thanked him for support and asked to go on helping in restoration of the city and the republic. Dmitri Medvedev assured that it will be done, as reported by Radio Liberty.
