Archbishop wounded by robber dies in Armenia

Congregate of Saint Echmiadzin, Archbishop Nerses Pozapalyan died on his 72nd year at the medical centre "Nairi" in the capital of Armenia. In February, he was attacked by a robber.

On February 18, Archbishop Pozapalyan was attacked in his cell with the aim of robbery; he was taken to hospital in the state of unconsciousness. Doctors diagnosed an insult. The attacker was arrested, as reported by the "Gazeta.Ru" Agency.

The farewell ceremony will take place on June 29 in St Gayane Church, where the funeral service will be held. Archbishop Pozapalyan will be buried on June 30, as reported by the "News-Armenia".
