"Corruption and Crime" to be continued after death of its editor-in-chief

The newspaper "Corruption and Crime", the editor-in-chief of which Vyacheslav Yaroshenko died on June 29 in Rostov-on-Don, will be continued, as stated by Sergey Sleptsov, its deputy editor-in-chief. According to his story, the paper materials are now published in other editions, but the paper as such will resume in autumn.

Mr Sleptsov hopes that the local Bar will support the edition. "They feel close to the issues of human rights and journalist's rights. Now, I stay in fact face-to-face with all that. Yesterday I met the President of the Bar, and we discussed how to go on with the paper," he said.

He has added that law enforcement bodies of Rostov-on-Don are still asserting that Vyacheslav Yaroshenko's death was a result of his traumas received in a domestic accident. The paper's staff would not believe.
