Georgia: Appeal Court upholds Joseph Kay's right to dispose of Patarkatsishvili's heritage

The Tbilisi Appeal Court has upheld the decision of the City Court of February 20 to reject the claim of the family of the late businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili asking to deprive his relative Joseph Kay of the right to execute Patarkatsishvili's will, including disposing of his property.

"The testament is vesting the right on me to collect, register and dispose of Patarkatsishvili's property in the interests of his successors mentioned in the will," the "Kommersant" newspaper "Businessman" quotes Mr Kay.
Thus, at the trial on July 1, the Appeal Court upheld the decision of the City Court and rejected the claim lodged by Inna Gudavadze, Badri Patarkatsishvili's widow, as reported by the "Interfax" Agency.

Earlier, the widow of the businessman addressed her open letter to President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili asking him to return the "Imedi" TV Channel to her.
