Twenty illegal migrants deported from Chechnya this year
During five months of 2009, twenty illegal migrants were deported from Chechnya; protocols on administrative offences against 200 more persons have been drawn up. This was stated to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source in the Republic's Migration Service.
This year in Chechnya, employees of the Migration Service have held, together with militiamen, three large-scale searches of illegal migrants. "In total, we've checked over 250 various objects and revealed five places where they lived. Judicial decisions on deportation were passed against 20 persons (all citizens of Tajikistan), since they had no due registration," a source in the Migration Service said.
He has emphasized that the inflow of migrants to the republic is bigger year from year. According to his story, most of the migrants are natives of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. There are also several dozens of residents of Georgia, who have applied for temporarily permits to stay and work in Chechnya.
