Chechnya: over 200 rescuers in search of two missing boys
In Chechnya, under decision of the head of the local Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), all the fire-fighting forces of Grozny are now involved in searching a boy of 7, who, probably, got drowned in Sunzha River on June 4, and another boy of 5, who got drowned on May 30. This was reported by Timur Taisumov, official representative of Russian MfE for Chechnya.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Chechen MfE that a signal was received at night of June 5 by the on duty desk of the Republic's MfE that in the evening on June 4 a seven-year boy got drowned in Sunzha River.
"It soon became clear that three boys had gone bathing in Sunzha River, and one of them drowned himself. His friends ran back home, but kept silent about the accident until late at night, when the victim's parents started searching him. And only after that, at about 1 a.m., we were informed about what had happened," said a source from the MfE.
Besides, until now the body of another boy of five, searched in Grozny since June 2, has not been found. The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this boy disappeared on May 30 under unclear circumstances. It is supposed that the boy could get drowned in Sunzha River. According to local law enforcers, the MfE received information about his disappearance in the afternoon on June 2; and rescuers started search at once.
"Currently, the child is searched by over 200 firemen equipped with hooks and poles and MfE's rescuers in boats," the "Interfax" quotes Mr Taisumov as saying.
