Chechen refugees went on hunger-strike

Chechen refugees living in tent camps on the outskirt of the Sleptsovskaya village, Ingushetia's Sunzhensky district, went on hunger-strike as a sign of protest against the authorities' attempts to liquidate the "Bella" camp. 18 people are taking part in the action, which started on September 19. Not only refugees of the "Bella" camp are taking part in the hunger-strike, but displaced persons from the neighboring tent camps "Satsita", "Sputnik", and "Alina". They show solidarity with their fellow sufferers in such a way. The refugees claim they are going to make their action termless, at least, till they are not left alone.
