NSS: it was a murder attempt on Armenia Today's coordinator

The criminal case on the fact of the attack on Argishti Kiviryan, coordinator of the Internet edition named "Armenia Today", which is investigated by the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, was re-qualified from Article 117 of the Criminal Code to Articles 34-104 "Murder attempt".

Earlier, Colonel of Armenia Ovanes Tamamyan, head of the Chief Criminal Search Department of the Police, told journalists about possible re-qualification of the case. At the same time, Mr Tamamyan gave no comments on the fact that the case was transferred from the Police to the NSS.

  • Court denies compensation to KBR convict for HIV infection

    The Oktiabrsky District Court of Novorossiysk has dismissed Yuri Mikhailov's lawsuit for compensation for the fact that after staying in jails in Novorossiysk and in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), he was infected with HIV and hepatitis.
