322 illegal migrants expelled from Astrakhan Region
Officers of the regional interior department devoted their special attention to the counteraction to illegal migration last year. Only in the course of the Migrant operation, administrative proceedings were instituted against 13 thousand people - 6 thousand of them are foreign citizens - for violations of the passport and visa regulations.
322 people, including foreigners and stateless persons, were expelled from Russia, according to the data of the passport and visa service.
The regional interior department presented to the regional administration proposals of the law-enforcement agencies to establish institutions for the keeping of migrants to be expelled from the country. Such a center has already opened in Pyatigorsk.
