Georgian opposition to contest election outcomes

Kakha Kukava, one of the leaders of the Conservative Party (member of the United Opposition), has stated that the Opposition will file a suit demanding to cancel the election outcomes.

"There are weighty grounds to have the suit satisfied. The electoral standards were 100 percent broken," Mr Kukava said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his version, the electoral administration itself was not neutral, voters' lists were falsified, media were not free, and the pre-election atmosphere was far from being sound and healthy. "Terror blossomed. With all this in mind, we have real arguments to hope that the suit will be satisfied," Kakha Kukava said.

The politician has added that none of the oppositional parties is so far going to join the Parliament. "This Parliament is illegitimate, and it deserves boycott. However, the boycott depends not only on the wish of oppositional leaders, but, first of all, on the Georgian people," Mr Kukava has emphasized.

We remind you that the leaders of the United Opposition are discussing possible boycott of the newly elected Parliament and refusal from their parliamentary mandates.
