PO approves charges against Volgograd lawyer Nurushev

The Prosecutor's Office (PO) has approved the charges against Ruslan Nurushev, a Volgograd lawyer, in the case of disseminating fakes about the Russian Army.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 11, 2024, Nurushev was charged with disseminating fakes about the Russian Army. On December 13, the Tsentralny District Court of Volgograd extended his arrest until February 1, 2025.

Nurushev was detained on November 7, 2024, on charges of disseminating fakes about the Russian Army motivated by hatred or enmity due to his post placed in a social network about a missile strike on Kharkov.

Nurushev is accused of disseminating information that is not disputed by official bodies: about a missile strike on Kharkov, during which people were killed, Eduard Yapparov, his advocate, has emphasized.

"That is, the fact of the strike itself is not refuted by official bodies, but allegedly my client, having disseminated this information, which is not denied (officially), had discredited the Russian Armed Forces. It's completely unclear for the defence what has been discredited here," the advocate has stated.
