GALA oppositional Armenian TV Channel stops broadcasting

In Armenia, the broadcasting of the oppositional GALA TV Company is stopped. On April 16, the court marshals dismantled its broadcasting equipment - they performed the decision of the Cassation Court of Armenia.

Now the GALA managers are going to apply to the European Court for Human Rights, Radio Liberty reports.

The GALA TV Company is known not only in Armenia, but also elsewhere. Many members of the Armenian Diaspora in the States prefer watching the Gyumri-based GALA, which is broadcasting objective information about events in Armenia, and they also express their readiness to render the required support to GALA. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt about it from the members of the Armenian NGOs in the USA, who preferred to remain anonymous.

According to the members of the Armenian Diaspora in the USA, the Armenians of Los Angeles, New York and other cities hate to watch the broadcasts of the Public TV of Armenia, finding them false and distorting the reality.
