Pensioners in Stavropol Krai demand that corruption be stopped in Kislovodsk

Pensioners in Kislovodsk (Stavropol Krai) demand that the fight with corruption in the city should be accomplished. They put their demand into an appeal submitted to the prosecutor's offices of SFD, Stavropol Krai and the city of Kislovodsk, to the Krai Duma and administration, administration of Kislovodsk and chair of the city Council of Deputies.

Gennadi Popkov, chairman of the city department of the public organization "Union of Kislovodsk Pensioners" has told today the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the appeal was adopted on March 13 during the first city meeting of the organization activists.

The authors of the appeal state that during a long time (for at least 12 - 15 years) the sanatorium and resort infrastructure has not been developed whatsoever.

"Instead, the city is swelling with private buildings which distort our resort beyond recognition. Kislovodsk, which used to boast clean air of the unique resort park, tidy lawns, flower ensembles, has been turned into a dirty muddy town with numerous chaotically built kiosks, doubtful catering and entertainment joints. The new masters of the city block rivers, build multi-storey buildings which destroy the landscape and close the view", runs the appeal.

The pensioners demand that all persons connected with the "annihilation of resort city Kislovodsk should be brought to criminal responsibility and the transactions concluded with the resort "killers' invalidated, while the construction sites must be liquidated ".
