Automobiles with tinted glass and without license plates to be prohibited in Ingushetia

One of the planned measures in the fight against criminality will be a ban on use of cars with tinted window glass and without license plates in the territory of the Republic of Ingushetia.

Makhmud Sakalov, Speaker of the National Assembly of Ingushetia, informed mass media about it yesterday.

"Since most of the crimes recently accomplished in Ingushetia have been connected with cars having tinted glass and without license plates, we have approved the bill on interdiction of using this sort of automobiles," the IA "Rosbalt-South" quotes his words. "The bill has now gone to President of Ingushetia, and we think it will be signed in the near future."

It has become known to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from sources in the Republic's State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD), certain work in this area has already begun. Thus, for example, road police agents are currently raiding the city of Nazran revealing vehicles that fail to meet the specified requirements. The tinted film is immediately removed from the car windows of the infringers.

The Republic's residents and drivers believe this to be a very timely and correct measure. However, some deputies of the National Assembly assert that the procedure of tinting and responsibility for using transport means without license plates are regulated by the federal legislation, and for counteracting violations in this area it is just sufficient to force the GIBDD to fulfil its duties.
