Supreme Court confirms suspension of Khlebnikov's murder case

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Russia has found legitimate the decision of Moscow City Court to suspend the proceedings of the murder case of Paul Khlebnikov, editor of the Russian version of the Forbes Magazine. Thus, it has rejected the complaint of the defence asking to continue the consideration of the case.

On March 14, the Moscow City Court suspended the proceedings, since one of the defendants - Kazbek Dukuzov - disappeared and was announced into federal search, the ITAR-TASS reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that Paul Khlebnikov was shot dead in Moscow on July 9, 2004. The investigators have stated that they had also established the customer of Khlebnikov's murder - resident of Chechnya Hozh-Ahmed Nukhaev.
