Public Prosecutor's Office stops investigation into Baisarov's murder

The last November execution in Moscow of Movladi Baisarov, ex-commander of the FSB's "Gorets" (Mountaineer) operative and fighting regiment, who had joined the opposition to the then prime minister and today's President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, got its logical outcome on April 27. The Office of Public Prosecutor of the South District of Moscow, engaged into investigation of the case initiated earlier under the "murder" article, has made a decision to suspend the investigation. The reason is a failure to identify the persons who could be subject to criminal liability, the "Vremya Novostei" (News Time) informs.

The "Gazeta.Ru" writes that Movladi Baisarov, 40, was shot dead on November 18 in the Leninskiy Avenue in the course of a special operation performed by Chechen power agents. Shortly before that, Baisarov was declared into search - allegedly, he had been involved into kidnapping of a Chechen family. The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that Movladi Baisarov had asserted that the main reason of his problems was his hostile relations with Ramzan Kadyrov.
