Storm left western Georgia without illumination
The toughest storm during the last 10 years in western Georgia brought down hundreds of trees, damaged the roofs of hundreds of houses and buildings and broke power transmission lines. More than 200,000 residents were left without illumination. According to preliminary information, two fishermen are missing in the town of Poti.
The storm has damaged a number of power transmission lines, resulting in stopping power supply to 200,000 residents. Representatives of power supply agencies report that repair teams are already working to restore the power transmission lines. It is expected that the power supply will be restored tonight, reports ITAR-ТАSS.
The worst damage has been inflicted on the towns of Kutaisi, Poti, and Samtred, Tskhaltub and Zugdid districts. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties, however, several people are wounded, reports radio "Mayak".
