Court releases Budanov and rejects complaint of Kungaev family

The decision of the Dimitrovgrad City Court made the basis for conditional early relief (CER) of former colonel Yuri Budanov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the complaint of Kungaevs' advocate against the decision on conditional early relief of former colonel Yuri Budanov has arrived to the Dimitrovgrad Court today. It was stated by representative of the Court.

The "Gazeta.Ru" was informed by the press service of the Court that the decision entered its legal force after the judge had returned the cassation complaint back to Stanislav Markelov, advocate for the Kungaev family.

The court has refused to accept the complaint to consideration as it "failed to list any fundamental violations", made by the court of the first instance in the course of consideration of Budanov's petition about the CER, as the representative explained.

On January 12, the first Markelov's complaint, which indicated that the court decision of court was illegitimate and contrary to the actual circumstances, was found improperly drawn up. According to the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, the lawyer was given a chance to draw the complaint properly before January 16.

We remind you that today former colonel of Russian army Yuri Budanov went at large. The "Interfax" reports that Budanov left the colony at 11 a.m., having warned in advance that he would not talk to anyone.
