Fourth victim of the explosion of "Vladikavkaz-Moscow" train dies in Rostov-on-Don

The militiaman who was burned by the explosion of the dining-car of the "Vladikavkaz-Moscow" train has died in the first-aid hospital of Rostov-on-Don. Thus, the death-roll of the explosion has reached four persons.

The explosion in the dining-car of the passenger train No. 33 "Vladikavkaz-Moscow" happened in the morning on February 26 in the railway section Persiyanovka-Kamenolomni of the North-Caucasian Railway. A Railway employee was killed in situ, later, two women, also Railway workers, died from received burns.

The fourth casualty is militiaman-trainee Vassily Prokhorov, who only started his service on February 13, as the "Interfax-South" Agency reports with a reference to the press service of the North-Caucasian Interior Department for Transport.

We remind you that a criminal case was initiated against Georgiy Gadzaonov, director of the dining-car in the "Vladikavkaz-Moscow" train. The investigators believe that his negligence was the cause of the explosion.

The investigation has established that the tragedy was provoked by an explosion of a gas bottle, which was kept, contrary to safety requirements, in the car, instead of a special compartment under the car undercarriage. Inspectors assume that the workers of the dining-car had deliberately breached the safety regulations as the compartment under the car undercarriage was full of contraband vodka transported from Ossetia.
