"Azerbaijani Airlines" want to fly to Batumi
During the visit of Adzharia's delegation to Azerbaijan, a preliminary agreement was reached to launch a direct flight Baku-Batumi by the start of the resort season.
The "Business Georgia" Agency reports that the initiative was moved by the "Azerbaijani Airlines". In the near future, the company will apply to the transport administration of Georgia for a respective license.
Besides, at the meeting of Musa Panakhov, Deputy Minister of Transport of Azerbaijan, with the delegation from Adzharia, headed by Levan Varshalomidze, Chairman of the Government, the issue of expanding the Baku-Batumi railway communication was discussed. In particular, the Adzharia officials offered to add cars going up to Batumi to the Baku-Tbilisi passenger train, as the "1news.az" Agency reports.
