Suspects of blowing up "Neva-Express" train will remain in custody

The Novgorod Regional Court has extended the custody term for the residents of Ingushetia suspected of taking part in blowing up the "Neva-Express" train in August 2007.

The Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) has already finished the investigation of the case on blowing up the "Neva-Express" train. The case files were sent to the General Prosecutor's Office for approval of the indictment.

According to the today's decision of the Novgorod Regional Court, defendant Maksharip Khidriev will stay behind bars till April 23, and Salanbek Dzakhkiev - till June 18. This was reported by the united press service of the judicial system of the Novgorod Region. Thus, the court has satisfied the ICPO's petition.

Natives of Ingushetia Salanbek Dzakhkiev and Maksharip Khidriev are figuring in the case only as helpers. Under one of the versions, the terror act was prepared and executed by one person - Pavel Kosolapov who was announced into search last August.
