Seven persons suffer from gas explosion in Chechnya
Today, an explosion of utility gas in a private house located in Valerik village, Achkhoy-Martan District of Chechnya, has injured seven persons, including six children.
"An explosion of utility gas with subsequent fire took place at 5:09 a.m. Moscow time on February 7. Seven victims - mother and six children were brought to Hospital No. 4 of Grozny," reports the press service of the Southern Centre of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Russia.
According to the press service, the fire was extinguished at 6:26 a.m. Moscow time. The victims' personalities are being established, as the "Interfax" reports. The RBC Agency adds that an operative group of the MfE is now examining the place and the circumstances of the accident.
The agencies differ as on the number of victims. The ITAR-TASS reports about eight victims - a woman and seven children.
