"Reporters without Borders" criticize Politkovskaya's murder trial

Today, the international human rights organization "Reporters without Borders" has criticized the course of the trial on the murder case of Anna Politkovskaya, observer of the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper. This is the topic of press release disseminated by the organization.

"We may ask why the case went to court in this way. Numerous violations were revealed during the proceedings. Repeatedly, the press and public were asked to leave the courtroom. Hearings were often postponed," the "Interfax" quotes the press release of the "Reporters without Borders".

So far, there is no confirmation of this information from other sources.

During today's session, Murad Musaev, advocate of one of the defendants, has stated that the pistol used to kill the journalist was bought in Dagestan. According to his version, "the buyer and the seller" of the pistol have been convicted.
