Military exercises held in Nagorno-Karabakh
Today, Nagorno-Karabakh was the venue of exercises in tactics with field firing with participation of all types of fighting equipment. Presidents of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Serzh Sarkisyan and Bako Saakyan watched the event.
The "Interfax" Agency adds that in Nagorno-Karabakh the Armenian President was accompanied by Seiran Oganyan, Minister of Defence of Armenia.
The visit of Serzh Sarkisyan will last till October 26. It is planned that the two Presidents will award eleven families of Karabakh militaries with keys to their new apartments, the "News-Armenia" Agency reports.
It is expected that in the city of Stepanakert Mr Sarkisyan will discuss the process of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in view of the latest events, in particular, the arrival of Russian President Dmitri Medvedev to Yerevan, as well as the topic of Turkey's activation towards the settlement issue.
