Beslan terror act victims refuse to leave court building

About 60 residents of Beslan refuse to leave the building of the Leninskiy District Court of Vladikavkaz until the chair at the trial meets them. The reason is in the permanent postponement of the court sessions. Today's one has also failed.

Ella Kesaeva, leader of the NGO named "Voice of Beslan", has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that sources in the court assert that the judge is away, but she is sure that he can be found if desired. The victims are going to ask the judge whether he would consider the claim on the merits.

On November 27, the judge announced a two-week delay of the trial because of the death of one of the witnesses, Vladimir Kisiev, Ms Kesaeva reports from the court building. Two weeks ago Kisiev was alive, but then the process was also postponed.

"Kisiev was very much upset, when the trial was postponed. On November 23, he had heart arrest. We believe that permanent postponement of the trial had promoted his nervous stress, and this man died. The very putting off the trial because of witness' death is illegal," said Kesaeva and added that the Kisiev family has lost five members already after the school tragedy.

The trial is constantly postponed under various far-fetched, in victims' opinion, pretexts. November 1 was exactly one year since the statement of claim seeking damage compensation was lodged by Beslan terror act victims to the court (although under the law a civil suit should be considered within two months).
