Rostov Military Court denies complaint of soldier's father against decision of NCMD Prosecutor
The Rostov Garrison Military Court has rejected the complaint of Valery Markaryan, father of a mandatory service soldier, against the decision of the Military Public Prosecutor of the North-Caucasian Military District (NCMD), who had reversed the inspector's decision to initiate a criminal case against officer Alexei Gvozdkov. The latter, according to Markaryan, incited him to bribery for making the verdict to his son more lenient.
According to Markaryan's representative Victor Sarkhoshev, they have lodged a petition to attract the inspector, who had initiated the criminal case against Gvozdkov, but the court has rejected this petition. "Also, the judge has refused to satisfy our petition on summoning the clerk of the Military Prosecutor's Office," said Mr Sarkhoshev.
According to Valery Markaryan, he is going to appeal against the decision of the court at the cassation instance.
