Murder of Evloev, owner of "Ingushetia.Ru", to be dealt with by Moscow inspectors

Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigatory Committee under the Russian Prosecutor's Office, has ordered his subordinate Departments for the South Federal District (SFD) to make an objective inquiry into the death of journalist Magomed Evloev, owner of the oppositional website "Ingushetia.Ru", as reported on Wednesday by Vladimir Markin, PR Division head of the Committee.

Earlier, Moscow has acknowledged that Magomed Evloev's murder can have consequences for President of Ingushetia Murat Zyazikov.

Today in Vladikavkaz, the head of the Investigatory Committee has held a sitting with the managers of his Investigatory Departments for the SFD, The RIA "Novosti" reports.

Mr Markin has quoted Mr Bastrykin: "You shall ensure an objective, complete and universal investigation of the criminal case initiated under part 2, Article 109, of the Criminal Code on the fact of causing death to Magomed Evloev. It shall be investigated through the use of all possible criminology methods with mandatory involvement of criminalists from the central office of the criminalists of the Investigatory Committee under the Russian Prosecutor's Office."

The "Interfax" reports that President of Ingushetia Murat Zyazikov believes that the investigation into the Evloev's death will be over in a month.

"I've met the heads of the Prosecutor's Office and Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and, as far as I've understood, in the near future they will make public what had indeed happened and how," said Mr Zyazikov in a press conference in Moscow.

It is noteworthy that yesterday, on September 9, the "Ingushetia.Ru" website published a message that an answer had been received "from the administration of Russian President to the appeal to Dmitri Medvedev with a demand to bring Ruslan Aushev back to the post of the President of Ingushetia."

The answer signed by Alexander Kharichev, deputy head of the Department for Internal Policy, runs: " Your appeal on the results of signing-in for return Ruslan Aushev to the post of President of Ingushetia... has been sent for further consideration to the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian President for the South Federal District. The outcomes will be reported to you additionally."

Magomed Khazbiev suspects that "there'll be no answer from the SFD at all." "They wouldn't listen to people's opinion, not only of the Ingush people, but of all the people living in Russia," he said to the "Kommersant".

Mr Khazbiev believes that Magomed Evloev was an obstacle for the authorities of Ingushetia by saying the truth about the situation in the Republic.

According to Khazbiev, Evloev's murder was planned a couple of months ago. "And not only of Evloev, but also of me and another leader of the opposition Maksharip Aushev. The order was given personally by President of the Republic of Ingushetia. He told the Minister of Internal Affairs: "If you can't do away with him, I'll find your substitute," said the Ingush oppositionist in his interview to the Deutsche Welle.

Murat Zyazikov stated on September 8 in a press conference in Moscow that the Republic's leaders are more than anyone interested in clearing the death of Magomed Evloev.
