Antiterrorist operation conducted in Ingushetia

In the village of Sagopshi, Malgobek District of Ingushetia, on July 19, an antiterrorist operation was held. According to law enforcement bodies, the militants who planned terror acts hid in the village.

"The law enforcement bodies possess information that members of a bandit group hide in Sagopshi village, Malgobek District, and intend to commit a series of acts of terrorism in the territory of Ingushetia. To detain them and eliminate the threat of terror acts, starting 6 a.m. on Saturday the administrative borders of the village were announced to be a zone of counterterrorist operation," said on July 19 a source of the RIA "Novosti" in the power structures of Ingushetia.

In the morning on July 20, the Agency "Interfax-South" was informed at the press-service of the Ingush Operative Headquarters that the measure and temporary restrictions, introduced in the territory of Sagopshi village for the period of the operation, had been cancelled. The law enforcement bodies were transferred into the usual mode of performing their duties.

So far, no details and results of the special operation were disclosed.
