100 days of Sarkisyan's presidency marked in Armenia
July 19 marks one hundred days after Serzh Sarkisyan took the post of the President of Armenia. In this context, the President addressed citizens of his country.
According to Mr Sarkisyan, the aim of his efforts during these hundred days was "to address the expectations, hopes and demands of hundreds of thousands of his compatriots, to lay down the foundation for continuation of those changes, which are direct imperatives of further progress of Armenia."
"I've started implementing the programme that was approved by many of you and contains solutions of important and specific problems," Mr Sarkisyan said. "The hundred days that passed have shown that some of the problems will be solved much earlier, than it was assumed, others will demand more time. More time, but no more than planned."
Mr Sarkisyan has noted that one hundred days are only a symbolical occasion to sum up the work done and re-outline the agenda of priorities in development of Armenia; he has assured the citizens of the country that his desire and aim of activities is free, democratic, highly-developed and strong Armenia.
The majority of the experts, with whom the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent managed to talk about Sarkisyan's achievements as the President of Armenia, have expressed the opinion that 100 days after inauguration is a too small period for speaking about any actual outcomes.
