Magomed Evloev buried in Ingushetia

Magomed Evloev, owner of the website "Ingushetia.Ru", who perished on August 31, was buried in Ingushetia.

About five hundred persons came today to take part in the mourning ceremony in the house of Evloev's parents in Malgobek, the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.

Meanwhile, the rally in the square at the bus station in the Moskovskaya Street in Nazran continues with some 800 participants.

The protesters, who demand careful investigation of Evloev's death and resignation of the Republic's leaders, assert that they will keep holding the action until their demands are satisfied, the "Interfax" reports.

Apparently, they are not going home - a field kitchen was brought to the action venue.

Oleg Orlov, a member of the Board of the International Society "Memorial", said on air of the "Echo Moskvy" Radio that the death of the owner of the website "Ingushetia.Ru" is "an act of state terror." In his opinion, "this is a political murder" which, "unlike other acts of state terror repeatedly committed before, is amazing in its cynicism and demonstrative character." According to Mr Orlov, "the impunity for previous crimes, including those committed by power agents in Ingushetia, results in demonstrativeness and frankness of this sort."

"We have an impression that in the new situation that we now have in Russia after the small victorious war in Southern Caucasus, the authorities are ready to throw away the mask of legality in their actions," said Oleg Orlov.

The "Union of Right-Wing Forces" (URWF) Party calls to dismiss President of Ingushetia Murat Zyazikov from his post "at least for the time of investigation," said Nikita Belykh, leader of the URWF. In his opinion, this investigation "should define the level of Zyazikov's personal responsibility for the tragedy that happened."

The official Paris demands to clear out the situation with Evloev's death. Eric Chevalier, official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, has declared today that Paris is waiting for a complete and unbiased investigation of this case.
