Kazbek Gusov, Chief Physician of the Hospital has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the wounds had been infected because the South-Ossetian victims were rendered the first aid only, and they were not timely brought to medical establishments. Basically, these are people with gunshot wounds, the doctor said. Now, they need lengthy treatment.

"Many patients already have complications; they have increased body temperature. They need some anti-gangrene serum," he said.
Yesterday, on August 14, the Hospital received 8 wounded persons; two serious patients with mine and explosive traumas and gunshot wounds were transported for treatment to Moscow.

Today, humanitarian aid has arrived to the Hospital, and the Chief Physician said that the patients now receive everything they need.
