Humanitarian aid sent from Kabardino-Balkaria for South-Ossetian refugees

Today, 5 trucks with humanitarian aid went from Kabardino-Balkaria to North Ossetia 5, said Anuar Chechenov, head of the Republic's headquarters for rendering medical and social help to the victims of the armed conflict in South Ossetia and vice-premier of Kabardino-Balkaria.

The refugees will receive 3 tons of sunflower oil, same weight of flour, 2 tons of halvah, 6 tons of canned food, 41 tons of mineral water, one ton of washing powder and 60 cubic metres of timber.

"Now, were busy forming the next batch of humanitarian aid," Anuar Chechenov has emphasized.

According to Mr Chechenov, 327 refugees from South Ossetia were placed in Nalchik sanatoria, 166 of them are children. During the academic year, all of them will get a chance to go to school.

Besides, refugees-pensioners are now being registered. The final data will be directed to the corresponding federal bodies, and their pensions will be sent here.
