Editorial board of "Novaya Gazeta" indignant by disclosing whereabouts of the person accused of murdering Politkovskaya

The editorial board of "Novaya Gazeta", where the assassinated journalist Anna Politkovskaya worked as an observer, will demand "initiation of a criminal case on the fact of information leaks from the bowels of the State Office of Public Prosecutor."

Dmitri Muratov, editor-in-chief of the edition, has informed about it on air of the "Echo Moskvy" Radio Station. "I can't assume what the aim was of disclosing the whereabouts of the killer, these actions have no 'operative or any other necessity'," he said.

Let us remind you that today Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation (ICP), has informed that the killer of the observer of "Novaya Gazeta" Anna Politkovskaya is hiding in the Western Europe.

Belgium has already received from Russia an inquiry on searching the suspect of Anna Politkovskaya's murder. This information was confirmed today by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, the ITAR-TASS reports.
