Comments in messenger result in fine imposed on Astrakhan resident

A court in the Narimanov District of the Astrakhan Region has fined a local resident by 30,000 roubles, recognizing that his comments on the Telegram had discredited the Russian Army.

According to investigators, this August, Rasim Gushanov posted several comments on the Telegram, which law enforcers treated as undermining the authority of the Russian Armed Forces. Gushanov himself stated in court that his account had been hacked.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that a court in the Akhtubinsky District had fined Alexandra Toropchina, a local resident, finding her comments in the "VKontakte" social network discredited the Russian Army.
