Court extends arrest of two figurants of preparing terror act in Kaspiysk

A Moscow court has extended the arrest of Shakhromdjon Gadoev and Mustakim Soliev, who were detained in Dagestan and are accused of preparing a terror act in Kaspiysk and supplying weapons to the attackers on the Crocus City Hall, until the end of next February.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this April, four citizens of Tajikistan and a Russian citizen (a native of Tajikistan) were arrested; namely, Shakhromdjon Gadoev, Mustakim Soliev, Zubaidullo Ismailov, Umedjon Soliev and Khusein Khamidov worked at construction sites in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk. Investigators believe that they were preparing a terror act in Kaspiysk and supplied weapons to those involved in the attack on the Crocus City Hall.

The Basmanny Court of Moscow has extended the arrest of Gadoev and Soliev: they will stay at the SIZO (pre-trial prison) until February 28, 2025, the TASS has reported.

Earlier this week, the arrest of 12 other defendants in the case of the terror act at the Crocus City Hall was extended, including the four alleged direct perpetrators of the attack.

Shakhromdjon Gadoev, 24, and Mustakim Soliev, 21, are charged with five articles of the Russian Criminal Code: committing a terror act; preparation of a terror act; participation in terrorist activities; illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition; and illegal manufacture of an explosive device. The prosecution treats them as members of a terrorist organization banned in Russia.
