Activist detained in Dagestan

In Makhachkala, law enforcers have placed Ramazan Rabadanov, an activist, into the isolation facility. He intended to go to the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories to observe the trials within the case of the riots at the Uytash Airport.

According to Shamil Khadulaev, the head of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) of Dagestan, Rabadanov was detained in Makhachkala on November 6.

According to Ramazan himself, some people approached him and planted a grenade into his jacket.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that 27 criminal cases regarding the riots in Makhachkala against 129 defendants had been sent to the courts of the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories. On October 25, the Prosecutor's Office reported that seven cases against 37 defendants were already being considered by courts in the Stavropol Territory; two more cases against 14 defendants were being considered by courts of the Krasnodar Territory; and three organizers of the riots are wanted. On November 6, the Sovietsky District Court of the Stavropol Territory held the first hearing of the case against five residents of Dagestan accused of involvement in the riots at the Makhachkala Airport.
