Rescuers report 10 killed at fuelling station in Makhachkala

Ten people were killed by an explosion of a fuelling station in Makhachkala, including two children, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) has reported. Seven other victims were hospitalized, the Dagestani Ministry of Public Health (MPH) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the explosion occurred at a fuelling station located on a highway in the Karabudakhkent District.

The count of explosion victims has reached 21, of whom ten people, including two children, have perished. The bodies of several casualties were extracted from under the rubble, the Russian MfE has informed.

The "Dagestan" TV Company has reported in its Telegram channel that doctors provided help to a man who was hit near a fuelling station in Novy Khushet. He got out of his car model 2114 to help the victims, and at that moment a jeep flew out at him.

The "Insan" Charity Fund has announced a fundraiser to help the victims.

Following the explosion near a fuelling station in Makhachkala on August 14, 2023, which killed 37 people, the Russian General Prosecutor's Office announced a check of the legality of placing fuelling stations in Dagestan. Due to the violations found, 150 of them were closed.
