"Rosgvardiya" fighter from Chechnya arrested within shooting case at Wildberries office
A Moscow court has arrested Umar Chichaev, an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter from Chechnya, who is deputy commander of the "Rosgvardiya" (Russian National Guard) unit "Akhmat-1", for a month and 30 days; he was detained in connection with the shooting at the Wildberries office. The court received petitions demanding to place five more suspects into custody; and two persons were arrested for disobeying law enforcers.
The TASS (the largest Russian state-owned news agency) reports that Chichaev is charged with murder, attempted murder, illegal arms trafficking, and arbitrariness.
On September 19, six persons were arrested in connection with the conflict with shooting that occurred at the Wildberries marketplace office in Moscow. According to the "Kommersant", most of those who stormed the office were athletes, including those from Chechnya, while the office was guarded mainly by wrestlers from Ingushetia and Dagestan.
On September 18, in Moscow, a group of about 30 men broke the windows at the entrance to the business centre located in Romanov Lane, where the Wildberries office is situated. In response, gunfire was opened. As a result, Islambek Elmurziev, 28, a master of sports in freestyle wrestling from Ingushetia, and Adam Almazov, 41, a deputy commander of the OMON (riot police unit. part of the "Rosgvardiya") battalion "Akhmat-1" from Chechnya, were shot dead. Three other athletes from Ingushetia were wounded.
Among those who suffered in the shooting were Abubakar Mestoev and Umar Chichaev, MMA fighters, who were members of the company of Vladislav Bakalchuk, Shamil Khadulaev, the chairman of the Dagestani Public Oversight Commission (POC), has reported.

However, Tatiana Bakalchuk, the founder of the Wildberries, has refuted the version of a corporate raid. She has explained that the deal to merge the marketplace with the Russ Company was approved a long time ago; and her husband is not involved in the company management.
