Lawyer attacked in Rostov-on-Don after trying to defend militaries' rights

In Rostov-on-Don, an unknown man attacked a female lawyer who provides legal assistance to the militaries, who refused to take part in military operations.

According to the woman, a resident of Rostov-on-Don, on August 16, she went out for a walk with her dog, when a man in military uniform approached her and hit her in the face and ribs.

She managed to run to the entrance and closed the door, after which the attacker hit the door from the outside, but was unable to open it, the "Rostov-on-Don Online" outlet reports.

The lawyer believes that she was attacked because of her professional activities. She said that she had faced threats. "You drive from Rostov to Donetsk, and your car, God forbid, explodes or is shot at, and no one will be able to find you," the outlet has quoted the woman as saying.

She is busy defending some militaries engaged in the special military operation (SMO). She has faced pressure after journalists published an inquiry into acts of torture in the abandoned Petrovskaya mine in Donetsk, the "Astra" Telegram channel has added.
