Kadyrov boasts about his son's meeting with Putin

Vladimir Putin invited Ali Kadyrov to a personal meeting, at which he congratulated him on his upcoming marriage, Ramzan Kadyrov has announced.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in March 2023, Ramzan Kadyrov's son Akhmat, who was then 17 years old, also met with Putin. Human rights defenders then treated this meeting as a signal that power in Chechnya would continue being inherited.

The meeting with Putin "has energized Ali for many years to come," Ramzan Kadyrov has noted.

The 17-year-old Ali Kadyrov, also known by the name Eli, is the general director of the "Akhmat" Sports Club and the president of the Chechen Boxing Federation, the RBC reports.

"Ramzan's eldest son Akhmat also received an audience with the head of state, and also shortly before his wedding," a "Caucasian Knot" reader with the nickname marcell.jacobs has written.

Let us recall that this January, Ramzan Kadyrov's 24-year-old daughter Khadizhat was appointed first deputy head of the administration of the head and government of Chechnya.

In Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov is building a ruling system based on family and personal ties; and the appointment of his daughter Khadizhat was no exception, analysts have remarked.
