Khadizhat Kadyrova's new post fits into cadre policy of Chechen leader

Ramzan Kadyrov is building a ruling system in Chechnya based on family and personal ties, and strives to demonstrate his children's successes in making careers. The appointment of his daughter Khadizhat to the post of first deputy head of the administration of the head and government of Chechnya was no exception, the human rights defender and Caucasus expert interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the 24-year-old Khadizhat (Karina) Kadyrova was appointed first deputy head of the administration of the head and government of Chechnya; she was entrusted with overseeing the social block. Earlier, her older sister Aishat Kadyrova, also at the age of 24, received the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the republic in charge of the social block.

Ruslan Kutaev, the President of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, treats the appointment of Kadyrov's daughter to a new position as a norm for the modern Chechnya.

Svetlana Gannushkina*, the head of the "Civic Assistance" Committee*, agrees with him. In her opinion, it is important for Kadyrov that his children are in power.

In her turn, Ms Gannushkina* welcomes the fact that women in Chechnya are receiving essential posts. "The very fact that women occupy high positions is already good. This is quite progressive," she has emphasized.

Evgeny Chernousov, a lawyer, has stressed that according to the law, such posts need higher education.
