Twenty volunteers continue searching for athlete Tsomartova, who went missing in Dagestan

The search for the athlete, Anna Tsomartova, who went missing in Dagestan, is underway; 20 volunteers are engaged, the "Lisa Alert" search-and-rescue team has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the search for Anna Tsomartova, a native of North Ossetia, has been ongoing since February 12. Her mother said that the girl disappeared in Kaspiysk after she was defeated in a sports tournament and was depressed. On February 14, aviation and divers joined the search. According to the mother, investigators have opened a murder case, but an abduction version is also being considered.

On February 20, Sergey Menyailo, the head of North Ossetia, said that the version that Anna Tsomartova had tried to order a taxi to leave Makhachkala for Vladikavkaz is not true. Telegram users believed that this version could have spread amid Tsomartova's relatives announcing a reward for information about her.

The search for Anna Tsomartova does not stop, said Zalim, administrator of the Telegram channel of the Dagestani branch of the above "Liza Alert" team.

Twenty people are constantly involved in the search, Shamil, the coordinator of the "Liza Alert-Dagestan", has explained.

On February 27, it became known that the authorities had ignored the appeal of Nikolai Tsomartov, Anna's father, who sent an appeal to Russian President Putin asking for help in investigating the case on February 24.
